Artist biographies are an important tool for artists working in any discipline to successfully promote themselves and their work. Join arts consultant Olivia Everitt in this 3-hour interactive workshop to learn how to write a professional artist biography. This workshop will discuss:

  • The key components of an artist's biography including useful templates and guidelines
  • Creating different versions of your biography
  • Updating your biography and seeking feedback
  • Other promotional tools to accompany your biography 

Participants will have the opportunity to create a new artist biography during the workshop and receive feedback. Participants will also have a professional headshot taken by photographer Cody Fox. 
For artists of any discipline - visual art, performing arts, music, dance, literature, photography, vidoegraphy, etc.

Light refreshments provided - registration is essential.

About the facilitator

Olivia Everitt is a freelance arts consultant, grant writer and project coordinator with over 12 years’ experience working with not-for-profits, local government and in the arts and cultural sector. Olivia is a national grants peer assessor in both the Creative Australia and Regional Arts Australia peer assessor groups. Olivia holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Arts) from the Queensland University of Technology and a Master of Business (Arts and Cultural Management) from Deakin University.
