About Gatakers

This creative hub was once robust warehouses for the bustling port of Maryborough. The warehouses are among the oldest in Maryborough and have been sensitively restored to preserve the historic value of the buildings, while creating a contemporary exhibition and creative space. 

Gatakers Artspace, located, in Gatakers Lane, is a contemporary exhibition space with four galleries hosting regular exhibitions of local and visiting artists.

Creative Space, located on Kent Street, supports creativity within the local community with pop-up exhibitions, a printmaking studio, creative workshops and a retail shop offering unique artisan products.

Both buildings are operated by Fraser Coast Regional Council.
